Secondhand smoke contains lots of dirty, deadly chemicals.

Like carbon monoxide, formaldayde and cyanide. In total, there are 4,000 chemicals in secondhand smoke. None of them good.

Secondhand smoke actually contains more hazardous substances than inhaled smoke. How bad is that? 2.7 times as much nicotine and 70% more tar than the smoke inhaled by a smoker.

Two-thirds of the smoke from a burning cigarette goes into the air.

And into you. Does that mean that the zits, hair loss, pre-mature wrinkling and yellow teeth smokers get also get you?

There is no known safe level of exposure to secondhand smoke.

It causes at least 1,000 deaths in Canada every year.

Opening a window or having air purifiers in a room won’t reduce the dangers of secondhand smoke. That’s why clubs, restaurants and other public places don’t let smokers light up anymore.

Secondhand Blows! Big time!
